Cooking & Usage Tips

Cooking instructions Conventional oven 1. Preheat oven to 230°C (450°F). 2. Grease a 30 cm (12-inch) pizza pan or a large baking sheet. 3. Combine pizza crust mix with 125 ml (1/2 cup) of hot water in a medium-sized mixing bowl. Stir with a fork until blended. Form into a ball and grease with about 5 ml (1 tsp) of oil. 4. Cover and set in a warm place for 5-10 minutes. 5. Press dough evenly onto bottom of baking pan using greased hands. Pinch edges to form a rim. Prick dough with a fork. Bake on bottom rack for 3-5 minutes. Remove from oven. Spread with pizza sauce and your favourite toppings. 6. Bake on bottom rack for 10-12 minutes or until crust is golden brown and toppings are cooked. Serves 4. Option 2: for thick crust: make as directed above, except press dough into a 23 cm (9-inch) circle on baking sheet or pizza pan. Option 3: for deep dish: preheat oven to 220°C (425°F). Grease a 23 cm (9 x 11/2-inch) round pan. Make as directed above, except press dough in bottom and 2.5 cm (1 inch) up side of pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes until crust is golden brown and toppings are cooked. Individual appliances vary; these are guidelines only.
