In a heavy 2 L saucepan, sauté rice in 7.5 ml (½ tbsp.) olive oil over medium heat for 2 minutes.

Add 480 ml (2 cups) water, 120 ml (½ cup) milk, and contents of seasoning pouch. Stir well and bring to a boil.

Reduce heat to simmer, cook uncovered for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until rice is tender.

Garnish with grated parmesan cheese if desired. Serve hot.
