Directions: Put powder into empty glass and mix with 240 mL of water or other cool liquid. Stir briskly and drink promptly. Do not interrupt medication. Helps to temporarily suppress appetite when prior to a meal For Adults Only: 2 rounded tablespoons (24 g) or 8 level teaspoons (24 g) in 240 mL liquid with meals, up to 3 times daily. For occasional use only. For cholesterol lowering and health For Adults Only: One rounded tablespoon (12 g) or 4 level teaspoons (12 g) in 240 mL liquid 3 times daily. For best results in lowering cholesterol, take Metamucil with a meal. For fibre supplementation or relief of irregularity Start by taking 1 serving each day. As your body adjusts to increased fibre intake, gradually increase to 3 servings per day. Generally takes effect in 12-72 hours. Adults and Children Over 12: One rounded tablespoon (12 g) or 4 level teaspoons (12 g) in 240 mL liquid up to 3 times daily. Children (6-12 Years): ½ the adult serving (6 g) in 240 mL liquid up to 3 times daily. Children under 6 years: Do not use.
