Balderson Royal Canadian 2 Year Extra Old Cheddar is aged for 24 months.
It tastes stronger than Extra Old but maintains an even balance between the cheddar flavour and sharpness. It may have small salt crystals which are a natural and desirable part of the aging process. This is the moost popular age range for Balderson cheddar.It is th best all purpose cheddar for most recipes and is ideal for baking, fondue, sauces or raclette grills. This cheese pairs well with fresh fruit (pears, grapes, figs) and should be served on unsalted crackers or toasted baguette slices.
