Hob - From Ambient
Stove top directions:
Melt 1/2 cup (125 mL) butter in medium saucepan. Remove from heat, stir in 1 cup (250 mL) water and sauce mix. Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Reduce heat. Simmer 3 minutes.
Microwave - From Ambient
Microwave directions:
In 1-quart (1 L) microwave-safe bowl, melt 1/2 cup (125 mL) butter on high 40 to 60 seconds. Stir in 1 cup (250 mL) water and sauce mix. Cook uncovered on high 3 to 4 minutes or until thickened, stirring after each minute.
Makes about 1 - 2/3 cups (400 mL).
Tip: For a lower fat option, decrease the butter to 1/3 cup (75 mL).
