Cooking & Usage Tips
Preparation instructions defrost before cooking.
To defrost: DO NOT OPEN THE VACUUM-PACK. Defrost overnight in refrigerator (39°F / 4°C) or submerge entire vacuum package in cold water until thawed (30-40 mins. or until product is completely defrosted).
Remove from packaging by cutting with scissors around the protective plastic wrap. COOK PROMPLTLY AFTER THAWING.
Barbeque:
- Preheat BBQ to med-high heat (approx. 425°F / 220°C).
- Place the salmon and plank directly over the BBQ grill and close the cover for approximately 14-18 minutes, or until internal core temperature reaches 158°F / 70°C).
- When cooking on the BBQ, have a spray bottle handy in case of flare-ups.
Medium 14-18 minutes
Conventional oven:
- Preheat oven to 425°F / 220°C.
- Place the salmon and plank directly on middle rack.
- Bake for 14-18 minutes or until internal core temperature reaches 158°F / 70°C.
Ovens & grills vary; cooking times may need to be adjusted.
DO NOT OVERCOOK. DO NOT REUSE THE PLANK.
