Use every 3 months FOR KEURIG® BREWERS WITH A WATER RESERVOIR Empty water from reservoir. Remove Keurig® Water Filter. Descaling procedure takes about 45 minutes (75 minutes for K-Duo™ brewers). Step 1: Cleansing Rinse - Press the power button to turn the brewer off. - Pour the entire bottle of Keurig® Descaling Solution into the water reservoir. Then fill the empty bottle with water and pour into the water reservoir. Press the power button to turn the brewer back on. - Run a rinsing brew: Place a large ceramic mug on the drip tray, lift and lower the brewer handle, select the largest brew size. Press the BREW button (if applicable). Pour out mug into the sink. Step 2: Internal Tank Soak - Repeat rinsing brew process until the add water light illuminates. Let the brewer stand for 30 minutes while still on. - After 30 minutes, discard any residual solution and rinse the water reservoir thoroughly. Step 3: Fresh Water Rinse - Fill the reservoir with fresh water to the max fill line. - Place the large ceramic mug on the drip tray and run a rinsing brew using the largest brew size. Do not use a K-Cup® pod. Pour the contents of the mug into the sink. - Using the largest brew size, run at least 12 rinsing brews. You may need to refill the water reservoir. K-MINI® AND K-MINI PLUS® BREWERS Step 1: Cleansing Rinse - Turn on your brewer. - Pour one-third (4.6 oz) of the Keurig® Descaling Solution into the water reservoir and add fresh water to the max fill line. (Note: measurement lines on label.) - Place a large mug (ceramic only) on the drip tray. - Lift and lower the brewer handle. Do not add a K-Cup® pod. - Press the BREW button. Once dispensed, pour out mug into the sink. Step 2: Internal Tank Soak - Repeat the process above. - Power off as soon as Descaling Solution begins to dispense. - Let the solution stand in the brewer for at least 30 minutes. - Power on the brewer, lift and lower the brewer handle, then press the BREW button. - Discard the hot contents into sink. Step 3: Fresh Water Rinse - Perform actions in Step 1, using the largest fill amount of fresh water only. Repeat two additional times. K-DUO™ BREWERS Step 1: Cleansing Rinse - Power the brewer off. - Pour the entire bottle of Keurig® Descaling Solution into an emptied water reservoir. Then, fill the empty bottle with water and pour into the water reservoir. Do not add any K-Cup® pods or ground coffee. - Place a large mug on the drip tray, then press the OZ/POD button to turn on the single cup side. Press the 12 button to start a single cup rinse brew. Pour the hot liquid into the sink. - With carafe on heating plate, press the CUPS/CARAFE button to turn on the carafe side. Press the 12 button to start a carafe rinse brew. When complete, pour hot liquid into the sink. Press and hold the CUPS/CARAFE button to turn off heating plate. Step 2: Internal Tank Soak - Let brewer stand for at least 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, discard any residual solution from the water reservoir and rinse thoroughly. Step 3: Fresh Water Rinse - Fill the water reservoir with fresh water to the MAX fill line. - Put carafe on the heating plate. Press the CUPS/CARAFE button to turn on carafe side, then. press 12 to start a carafe water brew. - When the brew is complete, press and hold the CUPS/CARAFE button to turn off the heating plate. Pour the hot liquid into the sink. - Fill the water reservoir to the MAX fill line. - Repeat the 12-cup carafe rinse 3 more times for a total of 4 brews. - Refill reservoir and place mug on drip tray. Press OZ/POD to turn on the single cup side, then press 12 for a single cup water brew. - Repeat the 12-cup carafe rinse 3 more times for a total of 4 brews. NOTE: The cleaning action of Keurig® Descaling Solution may result in a "foam" dispensed from the brewer. Heavily scaled brewers may not fill properly after the descaling solution is added. You may see small to no output dispensed, followed by the sound of air blowing out. If this occurs: - Turn off and unplug the brewer. - Discard any residual Descaling Solution from the reservoir, rinse thoroughly and refill with fresh water. - Plug the brewer back in, power on, and repeat the fresh water rinse cycle in Step 3. The brewer should begin to function normally. If problem persists, unplug brewer for at least 30 minutes before continuing with the rinse.
