Cooking & Usage Tips
Keep frozen until used - do not refreeze if thawed.
Before cooking: remove fillets from all packaging materials.
Oven:
1. Preheat oven to 450°F / 230°C.
2. Place frozen fillets in a single layer on shallow baking pan.
3. Brush with melted butter, season as desired.
4. Bake covered in centre of oven for about 18-19 min or until done.
5. Let stand 2 min.
Microwave oven (1 000 watts):
1. Place frozen fillets in a single layer on a microwave-safe dish.
2. Cover and cook on medium (50%) for 4 min (1 fillet); 5 min (2 fillets).
3. Brush with melted butter, season as desired.
4. Cover and cook on medium (50%) for an additional 4-5 min (1 fillet); 6-8 min (2 fillets) or until done.
5. Let stand covered 2 min.
Barbecue:
1. Preheat barbecue to medium-high heat (400°F / 200°C).
2. Brush fillets with melted butter, season as desired.
3. Wrap each frozen fillet and a slice of lemon in foil and place on grill.
4. Close lid and cook for about 15 min or until done.
5. Pierce foil package with a fork to allow steam to vent.
6. Let stand 2 min. USE CAUTION WHEN OPENING FOIL POUCHES.
To thaw: place unopened package in refrigerator overnight. For defrosted fillets, decrease cooking time by approximately half. DO NOT THAW IN WARM WATER OR AT ROOM TEMPERATURE.
Note: since appliances vary, these instructions are guidelines only. Fully cooked fillets are opaque and flake easily with a fork. Cook to an internal temperature of 158°F / 70°C.
