Hot air popper
1 Preheat hot air popper for 3 minutes.
2 Add 1/2 cup (125 ml) of popping corn kernels.
3 Pop for 3-6 minutes or as per manufacturer's instructions.
Stove top
1 Heat 3 tbsp (45 ml) of cooking oil and 3-4 kernels in a medium-sized, heavy saucepan with the lid ajar, over medium to high heat until kernels begin to pop.
2 Add 1/2 cup (125 ml) of popping corn kernels. Shake gently, making sure the steam can escape.
3 Remove from heat when popping slows and season to taste.
