Important tips - keep your yeast alive - Did you know yeast is a living organism? - To keep your yeast alive, any liquid ingredients added to your recipe should be warm (120º to 130ºF/50º to 55℃). For best results: use thermometer to gauge temperature of liquids. How to use Quick-Rise Yeast in traditional recipesMix undissolved Quick-Rise Yeast with dry ingredients. Add liquids that have been heated to 120º-130ºF/50º-55℃. Add remaining ingredients. Knead. Cover, let rest 10 minutes (replaces first rise in 2-rise recipes). Dough will not rise during this time. Shape dough as directed in recipe. Cover and let rise until doubled in size. Bake as directed. One 8 g package = about 2-1/4 teaspoons (11 ml)
