Preparation And Usage
Cooking instructions:
1 bag 10oz Ian's Allergy Friendly Gluten Free Savory Homestyle Stuffing
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
4 tbsp butter or vegetable oil
2-1/3 c chicken stock or water
1 c diced onion
1 c diced celery
1/2 c diced carrot
Conventional oven (recommended):
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. In a large skillet pan, melt the butter (or oil) over medium-high heat, add onion, celery and carrots.
2. Sauté until vegetables are tender and crispy.
3. Add chicken stock (or water), salt, black pepper and bring to a light boil. Remove the pan from the heat.
4. Place entire contents of one bag of Ian's Allergy Friendly Gluten Free Savory Homestyle Stuffing into a large deep bowl, pour the vegetable mixture over the stuffing and toss lightly until well mixed.
5. Place contents into a lightly greased 1. qt stoneware baking dish or 9" x 13" non-stick baking pan.
6. Cover with foil and bake on middle rack for 20-25 minutes or until desired texture is achieved and an internal temperature of 165°F is reached.
7. Remove foil and bake uncovered for additional 2-5 minutes to create a toasted surface.
Stove top:
1. Add butter (or oil) to 5.5qt sauce pan.
2. Sauté diced onion, celery and carrot on medium heat until tender.
3. Add chicken stock (or water), salt, black pepper, stir and bring to a light boil.
4. Add the entire bag of Ian's Allergy Friendly Gluten Free Savory Homestyle Stuffing then mix well gently.
5. Cover the saucepan with a lid and allow the stuffing to absorb the liquid.
6. Stir gently, occasionally over low heat and continue to cover with the lid for 7-10 minutes and until an internal temperature of 165°F is reached.
7. Remove the lid during last 2 minutes.
8. Use spoon the crumble stuffing cubes to desired texture.
