You will need: Oil for frying (use an oil designed for high heat frying, preferably peanut, coconut or vegetable oil) - 3 pounds fresh or thawed fish, patted dry - 1 cup of water, club soda or gluten free beer Preparation: 1. Pour the contents of this packaging into a medium sized bowl. 2. Add 1 cup of water, club soda or gluten free beer and mix until the batter is smooth and not too thick or thin. Add more liquid if the batter is too thick. 3. Dip fish fillets in batter, making sure both sides are coated. Hold above the bowl to let excess batter drip off. 4. Fry in oil until golden brown. 5. Fish is done when it flakes easily with a fork. Makes 8 servings For 1 ½ pounds of fish cut ingredients in half
