Preparation And Usage
COMPLETE ORIGINAL PANCAKES
Directions for 6 to 7 pancakes (10 cm or 4" in diameter)
YOU WILL NEED:
- 175 mL (3/4 cup) water
- 250 mL (1 cup) of the mix, using a levelled dry measure
PREPARE:
Preheat skillet over medium-high heat or electric griddle to 190ºC (375ºF). Skillet is ready when drops of water sizzle, then disappear almost immediately. Lightly grease skillet or griddle.
MIX IT UP:
Pour mix into mixing bowl. Add water.
Stir with wire whisk until large lumps disappear. Let stand 1 to 2 minutes to thicken.
COOK IT UP:
Pour slightly less than 60 mL (1/4 cup) batter for each pancake onto skillet. Turn when pancakes bubble and bottoms are golden brown. Continue to cook for approximately 1 minute or until second side is golden brown.
COMPLETE ORIGINAL WAFFLES
Heat waffle iron according to manufacturer's instructions. Combine 500 mL (2 cups) Pearl Milling Company Complete Original Pancake Mix, 375 mL (1 1/2 cups) water and 45 mL (3 tbsp) vegetable oil. Stir until large lumps disappear. Pour batter onto lightly greased waffle iron until about 2/3 of the surface is covered. Close lid and wait approximately 3 to 4 minutes or until steaming stops. MAKES eight 10 cm (4") waffles.
