Preparation And Usage
Filter instructions
1 Rinse the 5-Stage Filter under running water until water coming from the bottom runs clear.
2 Screw the 5-Stage Filter into the cartridge connector.
3 Run two upper tanks of water through your system before drinking. Use the discarded water for your plants.
System maintenance
Perform system maintenance when you replace your 5-Stage Filter.
- Drain and disassemble the system.
- Use a mild detergent to wash all plastic parts by hand.
- Scrub the ceramic pre-filter with an abrasive sponge if it is not time to replace it.
- Boil mineral stones for 1 minute to sanitize. Let them cool before placing back into the gravity water system.
DO NOT use soap on filters. Do not scrub plastic parts with coarse material like scrub wool or steel wool. More details are available at santevia.com
