Preparation And Usage
BAKING INSTRUCTIONS
Remove required number of shells from freezer and thaw at room temperature for 10-15 minutes. Once defrosted, do not refreeze. Recipes made from pastry can be frozen. Defrosted product should be used within 2-4 hours.
BAKED PIE SHELL ON ITS OWN
Preheat oven to 400℉(200℃). Prick the bottom and sides of the thawed pie shell with a fork. Bake for 8-10 minutes. If the pie shell puffs during baking, re-prick and continue to bake. Allow the baked pie shell to cool completely before filling.
SINGLE CRUST PIE
Preheat oven according to recipe instructions. Prick the bottom and sides of the thawed pie shell with a fork. Fill the unbaked pie crust as recipe demands and bake until golden brown.
DOUBLE CRUST PIE
Preheat oven according to recipe instructions. Select one thawed pie shell and prick its bottom and sides with a fork. Fill the unbaked pie shell as recipe demands and moisten its edges with water. Remove the second thawed pie shell from its foil and invert it over the filled pie shell. Lightly press the edges together and flute with a fork or your fingers to seal the pie. Cut several small vents on the top crust to allow the steam to escape. Bake as per recipe until golden brown.
