Cook Y&Y Brand Red Rice according to the ratio - rice : water = 1 : 1.5
For every 1 cup of Y&Y Brand Red Rice, you will need 1½ cups of water. For firmer rice, use less water and reduce cooking time. For softer rice, use more water and increase cooking time.
Cooking instructions (for family of four)
Rice cooker: pour 3 cups of Y&Y Brand Red Rice into rice basin. Rinse thoroughly and drain well. Add 4½ cups water, then cover with lid. Place rice basin in rice cooker and switch on. Do not lift the lid or stir the rice during cooking time, as steam will escape. Once cooked, fluff with fork and serve hot.
Stove top: place rice in pot. Rinse thoroughly and drain well. Add water and cover. Cook on high heat until water boils. Remove lid and stir once, then return lid and reduce heat to medium-low. Leave to simmer for 25-30 minutes. Once cooked, fluff with fork and serve hot.
