Maple Fondue

A sweet and indulgent fondue made with maple syrup, perfect for pairing with fresh fruits or waffles for a delightful treat.Time and servings

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) maple syrup
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) cornstarch
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) milk
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) butter
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) maple butter (optional)
- 1/2 tbsp (7.5 ml) maple flakes (optional)
Directions
Step 1
In a small saucepan off the heat, whisk the maple syrup and cornstarch until smooth.Step 2
Add the milk and stir.Step 3
Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring regularly.Step 4
Once boiling, cook for 1 minute, stirring until thickened. Remove from heat.Step 5
Stir in the butter until melted.Step 6
Optionally, garnish with a drizzle of maple butter, brown sugar or maple flakes.Step 7
Serve with fresh fruits and waffles if desired.Step 8
TIP: Keeps for 2 days in the refrigerator. Do not freeze.
