When a smoked salmon bagel decides to reinvent itself as a shareable flatbread.

Ingredients

  • 300 g (2/3 lb) or 375 ml (1 1/2 cups), sliced Smoked salmon
  • 1 Lemon
  • 80 ml (1/3 cup) Cottage cheese
  • 80 ml (1/3 cup) Cream cheese
  • 1 small Red onion
  • 60 ml (1/4 cup) Fresh dill
  • 1 Flatbread or pre-cooked pizza dough - about 300g
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp) Capers

Directions

  1. Step 1

    Using a fine grater, zest the lemon and set the zest aside.
  2. Step 2

    In a food processor, juice the lemon and add both cheeses. Blend until smooth.
  3. Step 3

    Thinly slice the red onion and remove the dill leaves from the stems.
  4. Step 4

    Using the back of a spoon, spread the cheese mixture over the flatbread.
  5. Step 5

    Top with slices of smoked salmon, red onion, dill, capers, and lemon zest.
  6. Step 6

    Cut into wedges and serve. This recipe is best prepared at the last minute.
