Ingredients

  • 1 sheet pre-rolled butter puff pastry, thawed according to package directions, kept cold half a 454 g pkg
  • 3 tbsp finely crumbled blue cheese 45 mL
  • 3 slices prosciutto, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped walnuts 30mL
  • 1 tbsp apricot jam, warmed 15 mL

Directions

  1. Step 1

    On lightly floured surface, un-roll puff pastry sheet. Sprinkle blue cheese, prosciutto and walnuts on top.
  2. Step 2

    Tightly roll opposite edges of pastry to meet in the centre (it should look like a a "log" made up of two rolls side by side). Transfer to parchment paper-lined baking sheet and freeze 10 min. to firm up pastry.
  3. Step 3

    After freezing, brush top of log with apricot jam. Cut log into 16 slices. Lay slices flat on baking sheet.
  4. Step 4

    Bake in preheated 425°F (220°C) oven 14 min., or until golden brown. Serve warm or cooled.
  5. Step 5

    Tip: Alternatively, roll pastry like a jellyroll and cut into pinwheels.
