Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh fiddleheads (cleaned and trimmed)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional)

Directions

  • Step 1

    Rinse the fiddleheads thoroughly under cold water to remove any dirt or debris. Trim the ends if needed.

    Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fiddleheads and cook for 5 minutes. Drain well.

    Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
