A combination of warm spices like cinnamon, ginger, and cloves with a caramel frosting. Perfect for the Holiday’s, this cake is the perfect balance of spice and sweetness.

Ingredients
- For the Spiced Cake:
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp ground nutmeg
- ½ tsp ground ginger
- ½ tsp ground cardamom
- 1 cup canola oil
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 1 cup brown sugar
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- For the Caramel Cream Cheese Icing:
- ¾ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 3 cups icing sugar (powdered sugar), sifted
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup caramel sauce, plus more for drizzling/swirl

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line two 8-inch round cake pans (or one 9x13-inch pan) with parchment paper.Step 2
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cardamom.Step 3
In a large bowl, whisk together canola oil, eggs, Greek yogurt, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.Step 4
Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture in batches. Stir until just combined — avoid overmixing.Step 5
Pour batter evenly into prepared pans. Bake for 35–40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.Step 6
Let cakes cool in pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
Make the Caramel Cream Cheese Frosting
Step 1
In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and cream cheese until smooth and fluffy.Step 2
Gradually add icing sugar, vanilla, and salt. Beat until smooth.Step 3
Stir in ½ cup caramel sauce until fully incorporated.Step 4
Frost cooled cake layers and drizzle with extra caramel. Use a knife or toothpick to swirl for a decorative finish.
