Makes about 5 servings
1. In a medium saucepan bring 2 1/4 cups (560 ml) water and 1 tablespoon (15 ml) butter or olive oil (optional) to a boil.
2. Stir in box contents. Cover and reduce heat to low.
3. Simmer 20 to 25 minutes or until liquid is absorbed. Fluff pilaf lightly with a fork before serving. Enjoy!
Microwave
Microwave ovens vary. Adjust time accordingly.
1. In medium microwaveable casserole dish, combine box contents with 2 1/4 cups (560 ml) water and 1 tablespoon (15 ml) butter or olive oil (optional).
2. Cover and microwave on high for 6-8 minutes or until boiling.
3. Remove from microwave, stir, cover and microwave on high for 10-13 minutes, or until all liquid is absorbed.
4. Remove from microwave, stir, cover and let stand for 5 minutes. Fluff pilaf with a fork. Enjoy!
