Cooking instructions Stove top 1. Prep bring 6 cups (1.5 L) of water to a boil. Add macaroni. 2. Cook uncovered for 7-9 minutes or until macaroni is tender, stirring occasionally. Drain macaroni. Add 1 tbsp (15 ml) of butter or margarine, 1/3 cup (75 ml) of milk and cheese sauce mix. Stir until smooth. 3. Serve Microwave (1200 watts) 1. Prep pour macaroni into a 6-cup (1.5 L) microwave-safe dish. Add 1 3/4 cups (425 ml) of hot water and stir. 2. Cook microwave, uncovered, on high for 8-9 minutes or until water is absorbed, stirring every 3 minutes. Remove from microwave. Add 1 tbsp (15 ml) of butter or margarine, 1/3 cup (75 ml) of milk and cheese sauce mix. Stir until smooth. 3. Serve Tip: for even creamier macaroni and cheese, add 1/4 cup (60 ml) of butter or margarine and 1/2 cup (125 ml) of milk. Individual appliances vary; these are guidelines only.
