Hob - From Ambient
For top of stove : 1. Bring water/milk and salt to almost boiling. 2. Add cereal slowly, stirring constantly and bring to a boil. 3. Simmer for 3 minutes, stirring frequently. Serve.
Microwave - From Ambient
For microwave : 1. Mix cereal, salt, and hot water or milk in a microwave-safe bowl. 2. Cook on high (100% power) for 1 minute. Stir. Cook 1 to 2 minutes* more, stirring well every 30 seconds, until cereal is thick and smooth. Mix well before serving.
*Because of the difference in microwave ovens, cooking times mat vary. Overheating can cause cereal to boil over. Some high wattage ovens may cook cereal too quickly, causing lumps. Try reduced power level and longer cooking time, stirring often.
Caution: Use care when removing. Bowl may be hot.
