CHOCOLATE CAKE
Yields one 8" round cake
Preparation: 10 min | Cooking: 40-45 min
INGREDIENTS
- 1 package Dainty gluten-free Chocolate Cake Mix
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) milk
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) vegetable oil
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) hot water
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease an 8" round baking pan and line with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, blend all the ingredients together until smooth and well combined. Pour into baking pan.
3. Bake for 40-45 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
4. Let cool for 15 minutes before removing from the pan, then let it cool completely on a wire rack.
CHOCOLATE GANACHE
Add to a pyrex measuring cup 2/3 cup (160 mL) 35% cream, 2 tbsp butter, and 1 cup (250 ml) semi-sweet chocolate chips. Microwave 1-2 min, then stir until melted. Let cool for 20 minutes and pour over top of cooled cake.
