Preparation And Usage
STOVE TOP DIRECTIONS: Follow carefully
FOR PIE: Bake pie crust first. (Try our Shirriff Pie Crust Mix)
1. In a saucepan, mix contents of pouch and 3 cups (750 mL) cold milk.
2. Stir continuously over MEDIUM-HIGH heat (approx. 15 min) to prevent burn. When mixture comes to boil & begins to thicken, reduce heat to low and stir for 1 min more.
3. Remove from heat. Stir well 2 separate times over a 5 min period. Product will continue to thicken as it cools.
FOR PIE:
Pour mixture into baked, cooled 9" (23 cm) pie shell; refrigerate 3-4 hours before serving.
FOR PUDDING:
Pour into dessert dishes; serve warm or chilled.
TIP:
Place cling wrap on surface of warm pudding to prevent formation of skin.
Keep unused portions in the fridge.
MICROWAVE DIRECTIONS:
Follow carefully
1. In an 8-cup (2 L) microwaveable bowl, mix contents of pouch and 3 cups (750 mL) cold milk.
2. Microwave uncovered on HIGH (100%) stirring every 2 min to prevent lumps until mixture boils (about 10 min). CAUTION: PRODUCT WILL BE HOT.
3. Cool 5 min, stirring twice.
