Preparation And Usage
Directions for use:
1. Combine 270 g Grace Johnny cake mix with 2/3 cup milk. Add a little milk at a time until a firm dough is formed.
2. Add more milk as necessary.
3. Divide dough into 16 balls, approx. 1 1/2 tbsp each.
4. Knead each one with floured hands for a few minutes.
5. Press gently with palm of hands and flatten to 3 inch rounds.
6. Fry in oil. Drain and serve hot.
Yields 16, 3 inch Johnny cakes.
Ideal accompaniment for any Caribbean breakfast including ackee and saltfish.
