Preparation And Usage
Prevents dehydration due to vomiting, diarrhea, heavy sweating, fever, vigorous exercise and hot or dry conditions. Start taking Hydralyte to prevent dehydration on the first signs of fluid loss.
Recommended dosage
Vomiting and diarrhea:
Age: <12 months; Take in first 6 hrs (mL): 400-600; Max. per day: 1300
Age: 1-3 yrs; Take in first 6 hrs (mL): 700-1000; Max. per day: 1900
Age: 3-6 yrs; Take in first 6 hrs (mL): 1000-1400; Max. per day: 2600
Age: 6-12 yrs; Take in first 6 hrs (mL): 1800-2400; Max. per day: 3900
Age: 12-Adult; Take in first 6 hrs (mL): 3000-3600; Max. per day: 6600
For dehydration due to other causes (without vomiting or diarrhea), refer to pack insert.
Directions for use:
1. Place two tablets in 200 mL of water (for babies under 6 months use cool, boiled water).
2. Sip slowly and frequently while symptoms persist.
3. Discard unused solution after 6 hours, or 24 hours if refrigerated.
Only mix with water. Continue with breast or formula-feeding of infants, between sips of Hydralyte.
