Cooking Pan fry 1-2 minutes Medium high 1- In a heavy bottom large pan, heat 2 tbsp (30 ml) butter or oil over medium-high heat. 2- Season thawed scallops with salt and pepper, if desired. 3- Add scallops to pan, leaving space between them. Do not overcrowd. 4- Cook scallops, shaking pan every 20 seconds, turning scallops halfway through, until fully cooked* (approximately 1-2 minutes). Oven 3-4 minutes Broil - high 1- Preheat oven to broil. 2- Season thawed scallops with salt and pepper if desired. 3- Place scallops on a lightly greased baking sheet. 4- Broil scallops, turning halfway through, until fully cooked* (approximately 3-4 minutes). *Note : scallops are fully cooked when firm and opaque in the centre. Appliances vary in power, these instructions are guidelines only.
