Easy Bison meat sauce Ingredients 224 g bison ground meat 1 small onion or half a large onion diced 3 doves garlic smashed (or to taste) 1 796 ml. can of your favourite tomato sauce 1 tsp. salt (or to taste) 1 tsp. sugar Cooking Method Heat up a 2 tbs. of vegetable oil in a skillet Sauté diced onions until they become translucent Mix the bison meat with the onions in the skillet Stir it to break up the meat so there are no clumps When the bison meat turns brown add the tomato sauce Add the smashed garlic cloves and seasoning Stir and cover on low heat for 1 hour Taste and adjust seasonings This meal is great the next day too, and it's good to freeze. Delicious with fresh garlic bread and a spinach salad makes 4 serving Bison meat is a healthy alternative with fat and calorie intake considerably lower than other meats. Choose bison for a combination of great taste and nutrition. Lower in fat, cholesterol but higher in protein and Omega-3 fatty acids, bison meat offers a significant advantage over other red meat, poultry and fish. Raised without hormones, antibiotics or feed additives. It's reason enough to switch over to eating bison meat.
