Water**: 1 serving: 150 ml (2/3 cup), 4 servings: 750 ml (3 cups)
Salt (optional): 1 serving: dash, 4 servings: 2-3 ml (1/2-3/4 tsp)
Oats: 1 serving: 75 ml (1/3 cup), 4 servings: 325 ml (1 1/3 cups)
Cooking time: 1 serving: 4-5 min at medium, 4 servings: 7-9 min at high
1. Combine water, salt and oats in a microwave-safe bowl.
2. Microwave for specified cooking time and level or until desired consistency is reached. Stir once halfway through cooking time.
3. Cover and let stand until desired thickness is reached. Stir before serving. Microwave ovens vary; time may need to be adjusted.

1. Boil water and salt in covered saucepan; stir in oats.
2. Return to a boil; reduce heat and simmer.
3. Cook uncovered for specified time, stirring occasionally; remove from heat.
4. (Optional) cover and let stand until desired thickness is reached. For creamier oatmeal, combine water, salt and oats; bring to boil. Cook as directed.
**For thicker oatmeal use less water.
For thinner oatmeal, use more water.
