Preparation And Usage

For indoor use at buildings to kill mosquitoes, flies, wasps, bed bugs, fleas, spiders, sowbugs carpet beetles, centipedes, ants, and silverfish Read the label before using Use this product to: kill listed insects on contact. For ant problems, use a Raid® ant bait product to kill ants where they breed. For spider problems, use Raid® spider blaster to kill spiders in the nest on contact. For wasp problems, use Raid® max wasp & hornet foam bug killer 2 to kill wasps and their entire nests on contact. TIPS: Ants: Store ant-attractive foods in plastic containers with lids that snap tight. Empty kitchen garbage containers often. Repair and seal as many visible cracks in the foundation and exterior walls of your house as possible. Indoors, caulk along baseboards, cracks and crevices to keep the ants from passing through your house. Spiders: Sweep behind washers and dryers often and rearrange furniture periodically to avoid spiders spinning webs in the same location. Keep clothing, shoes and blankets off the floor so that spiders do not hide in them during the day. Wasps: Avoid leaving food or drink uncovered when eating outside. Keep all garbage covered in tightly closed containers until it can be thrown out. Spraying nests after nightfall is recommended because wasps are less active at night. DIRECTIONS FOR USE: This product is ready to use. Always shake before use. Hold can upright while spraying. Within the specified use location, to enhance effectiveness of this product, apply directly to listed pests where possible. For all labelled uses, treatment must only be repeated after 7 days if the pest problem persists or reoccurs. Good sanitary practices should be maintained to prevent reinfestation. FOR INDOOR USE AT BUILDINGS: USE LIMITATIONS: Ventilate treated areas after application by opening windows and doors or using fans, where required, to aid in the circulation of air. DO NOT apply when people or pets are present. DO NOT allow people or pets to enter treated areas until sprays have settled or dried. DO NOT apply to surfaces that may come into contact with food/feed. Cover or remove all food/feed. Cover all food/feed processing surfaces, equipment and utensils or thoroughly wash them following treatment. Any food/feed accidentally contaminated with spray solution must be discarded. When applied as a surface spray: DO NOT apply to overhead areas or in confined spaces (for example, attics, crawlspaces). DO NOT allow spray to drip or allow drift onto non-target surfaces. HOW TO APPLY: DO NOT APPLY AS A BROADCAST TREATMENT. Apply as a space spray, crack and crevice, perimeter, spot or furniture (pet bedding, mattresses, box springs and bed frames only) treatment only. Indoor space application is a suspension of fine droplets in the air within an indoor space. Crack and crevice is an application directly into narrow openings on the surface of the structure. It does not include the treatment of exposed surfaces. Narrow openings typically occur at expansion joints, utility entry points and along baseboards and mouldings. Perimeter application is less than 0.3m wide along the edges of a room to baseboards, wall-floor and ceiling-wall joints, and around doorways or windows. Spot application is localized to a surface area not more than 0.2m². Spots are not to be adjoining and the combined area of spots is not to exceed 10% of the total surface area of a room. Furniture treatment: Broadcast application covers large areas of the entire surface of items; crack and crevice treatments are applications to junction points on items; spot application is up to 10% of the surface of the item; and tuft and/or seam treatment (mattresses only) is to the junction of two or more pieces of fabric and any decorative trim (e.g., buttons). SPACE APPLICATION: Always shake before using. To kill mosquitoes, flies, and wasps: Close all windows and doors and shut off all ventilating systems and sources of ignition before treatment. Shake before using. While holding can at arm's length, spray Raid® Home Insect Killer 2 upward in a sweeping motion to all parts of the room, especially the ceiling, upper corners of the room, windows and other light sources. Keep spray at least 1m from interior walls, fabrics and furniture. Begin application at the far side of the room and work backwards toward the exit. DO NOT exceed the max spray rate of 10-11 seconds per average room (30m³). Vacate the treated area and keep windows and doors closed for 15 minutes, then ventilate for 15 minutes before re-entry. SURFACE APPLICATION: DO NOT exceed max spray rate of 1-2 seconds per 200cm² (no more than 2 sprays per day) for all indoor surface applications. To kill spiders, sowbugs, centipedes, ants, and silverfish: Thoroughly treat indoor building surfaces, including cracks and crevices in walls, floors and ceilings; along and behind baseboards; walls behind and floors beneath appliances (e.g., refrigerators and stoves) and furniture (e.g., cabinets and storage units); around sinks, drains and pipes; localized areas around garbage cans; and other building elements where listed insects are found. For silverfish, also spray cracks and crevices in bookcases. Remove all objects before treatment of bookcases where books, clothing, toys, towels and other items are stored. Treated bookcases must be dry before replacing stored items. For ants, also spray trails, nests, and points of entry (e.g., around windows and doors). For spiders and centipedes, also spray localized areas of floors and floor coverings. To kill carpet beetles: Spray edges of carpeting and underneath carpets and rugs. Make localized applications to floors and baseboards. To kill bed bugs: DO NOT use on items which can be laundered (e.g., pillows, bedding, toys, clothing, etc.). Remove bedding before treating mattresses. Spray mattresses, particularly around tufts and seams. Take bed apart and spray the bed frame, spring and all joints. Treated mattresses must be dry before replacing laundered bedding. Also apply to indoor building surfaces, including cracks and crevices in walls, floor and ceilings; along and behind baseboards and mouldings; and localized areas of walls behind and floors beneath furniture (e.g., bed and nightstand). To kill fleas: DO NOT apply to furniture (with the exception of pet bedding), mattresses, linens, toys or clothing. Apply to indoor building surfaces, including cracks and crevices in walls and floors; along and behind baseboards, windows and door frames; and localized areas of floors and floor coverings. Pet bedding may be entirely treated with this product or replaced with clean, fresh bedding after other listed areas are treated. DO NOT SPRAY PETS WITH THIS PRODUCT. Only treat pets with product specifically registered for use on that type of pet. For effective flea and tick control indoors, clean the area used by the pet. Cleaning the areas includes vacuuming floors, carpets, furniture, etc. (discard vacuum bag after use) and washing the pet's bedding, living quarters, and surrounding area. DISPOSAL: Unused or partially used products should be disposed at provincially or municipally designated hazardous waste disposal sites. When container is empty, press valve to release all remaining pressure. Empty containers may be recycled in communities where (steel) aerosol can recycling is available. If recycling is not available, wrap and discard the empty container in household garbage. DO NOT reuse the empty containers.
