Preparation And Usage
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS:
For best results, soak rice in cold water for 20-30 minutes before cooking. Measure desired quantity of rice and water according to table below. Choose one of the following cooking methods:
A. OPEN POT : Carefully add rice to boiling water in heavy based pot. Cook, uncovered for 10 minutes medium heat. Strain and wash in hot water.
B. CLOSED POT : Bring mixture of rice and water to a rolling boil in heavy based pot. Cover pot with tight fitting lid and lower heat to low. Cook for 10 minutes. Turn off heat and leave covered for 5 minutes.
C. MICROWAVE : Place rice and water mixture in a microwaveable container and cover tightly with cling wrap. Cook for 6 minutes on defrost setting, 300g of rice is recommended at a time.
RECOMMENDED QUANTITIES : As a general rule-allow 50g (2oz) uncooked rice per serving as a side dish; 40g(1.5oz) when used in a salad or mixed with another ingredient; 75g(3oz) when served as a main meal.
