Measures:
1 cup Taj Basmati Rice
2 cup of water
1 table spoon oil
1 pinch of saltor as per taste
Soak the rice in water for about 30 minutes
Cooking method:
Saucepan: rinse measured rice 1 to 2 times. Place drained rice into a sauce pan and add measured water, oil and salt
Place sauce pan uncovered over high heat and bring to boil stir occasionally. Let water reduce slightly below the rice level and then lower the heat. Place a tight lid on the saucepan and simmer for 5-6 minutes.
Electricrice cooker: place the drained rice in the cooker
Add measured water, oil and cook for 8-10 minuts
Microwave: place measured rinsed rice and off, in mucrowaveable casserole. Add 2 cups of water for each cup of rice and cover. Microwave on high for 4-5 minutes
Stir, covr and microwave on defrost for 4-5 minutes. More than 2 cups at a time.
Please note: for best results cook 300 g (12 oz) of rice at a time. In future cooking, use more water if rice was too hard in the first cooking and use less water if it was too soft.
