Cooking instructions
For best results, soak the rice in cold water for 30 minutes, then rinse in a sieve.
1. In a large saucepan, add 2 measures of cold water to 1 measure of basmati.
2. Bring to a boil, reduce to a low heat, cover and simmer for 10-12 minutes until the water is absorbed.
3. Remove from heat, stand covered for 5 minutes.
4. Lightly fork through the grains before serving.
Storage
Store in a cool dry place.
Preparation And Usage
COOKING TILDA BASMATI: Everyone has their own preferred way of cooking basmati. This is our favourite.
Allow 60 g uncooked rice per person (approx. ⅓ cup).
1. For best results we recommend you soak the rice in cold water for 30 minutes, then rinse in a sieve with cold water.
2. Take a large pan and add 2 measures of cold water to 1 measure of basmati.
3. Bring to the boil, reduce to a low heat, cover and simmer for 10-12 mins until the water is absorbed. Avoid opening the lid or stirring the rice.
4. Remove from heat, stand covered for 5 mins.
5. Lightly fork through the grains before serving.
