Cooking & Usage Tips
You will need:
3 large eggs
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 cup milk
¾ cup (1 ½ sticks) unsalted butter, softened
Butter and milk can be replaced with any non-dairy alternative.
1 Heat oven to 350ºF. Grease the bottom and sides of two 8" or 9" round cake pans
2 In a large bowl, beat cake mix and butter, until coarse crumbs form. Add the milk, eggs, oil and vanilla, and beat on high speed until silky smooth. Pour into pans.
3 Bake 25-30 min., or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes in pan, then cool completely on wire rack before frosting.
Pan size: cupcake pan; bake time: 16-20 minutes
Pan size: mini cupcake pan; bake time: 10-12 minutes
Pan size: 9" x 13" pan; bake time: 23-35 minutes
