Preparation And Usage
Traditional Sugar Cookies
You will need :
1 large egg
1 tsp. vanilla extract
10 tbsp. (1 stick + 2 tbsp.) unsalted butter, softened
Sugar for rolling (optional)
Butter can be replaced with any non-dairy alternative
1 Heat oven to 350ºF. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
2 In a large bowl, beat the cookie mix, butter, egg and vanilla, until smooth.
3 Drop dough onto the cookie sheet, using a rounded tablespoon or roll dough into balls. Roll balls in sugar, if desired. Flatten each ball with your hand, approx. ¼" thick.
4 Bake 11-13 minutes or until edges are lightly golden. Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes, then place on wire rack.
Roll out Sugar Cookies
You will need:
1 large egg
½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
1 Heat oven to 350ºF. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
2 In a large bowl, beat the cookie mix, butter and egg until smooth.
3 Roll out cookie dough on a flat surface, about ¼" thick. Cut dough into shapes by hand or with a cookie cutter, then place onto baking sheet.
4 Bake 8-11 minutes, until lightly golden around the edges. Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes, then place on wire rack. Decorate cookies with your favorite icing.
