Ingredients
- 3 1/2 cups milk 875 mL
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder 125 mL
- 1/4 cup brown sugar 60 mL
- 2 tsp icing sugar 10 mL
- 1 tsp cornstarch 5 mL
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract 8 mL
- 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg 1/2 mL
- 1/8 tsp ground cayenne pepper 1/2 mL
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1/4 cup Mini Marshmallows 60 mL
Directions
Step 1
Heat the milk in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. In a small bowl, combine the cocoa, sugars and cornstarch. Stir in just enough hot milk to form a paste.Step 2
Add vanilla and spices to the paste and whisk the entire mixture into the hot milk. Stir constantly until thickened.Step 3
Ladle into heavy mugs and serve with Compliments Mini Marshmallows as a garnish.
