Ingredients
- 160 g butter (2/3 cup), at room temperature
- 120 g granulated sugar (1/2 cup)
- 120 g brown sugar (3/4 cup)
- 5 g turmeric (2 tsp)
- 2 eggs
- 320 g all-purpose flour (2 cups)
- 3 g salt (1 tsp)
- 2 g baking soda (1/2 tsp)
- 225 g dark chocolate chips (8 oz)
Directions
Step 1
In a large mixing bowl, use a hand mixer or stand mixer to cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar for 2–3 minutes, until light and fluffy.Step 2
Add the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition.Step 3
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, salt, baking soda, and turmeric. Sift together, then gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.Step 4
Gently fold in the dark chocolate chips.Step 5
Using an ice cream scoop, portion the dough into balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.Step 6
Chill the cookie dough balls in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.Step 7
Preheat the oven to 360°F (180°C). Bake the cookies for 15 minutes, or until golden around the edges.Step 8
